Hollywood stars are known for doing thrilling stunts all by themselves. Just like Tom Cruise flying a jet in the Top Gun: Maverick movie, Brad Pitt will be driving an actual racecar for his upcoming movie, on the tracks of Silverstone. The director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer were seen sharing the details about the Apple Studio movie at the F1 Accelerate Summit in Miami. Lewis Hamilton, 7-time F1 Champion, will also be working as a producer on the storyline and scripting of the movie. He intends to make this the most accurate racing movie ever made.
The Story of the Movie
The movie will star Brad Pitt in the role of a racer returning from his retirement with a newbie at his side. The duo will be racing to win the Titans of the Sport. According to F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, this film would have quite an invasive production, showing the world that the Formula 1 Race never stops. Kosinski and Bruckheimer also announced that they are building an 11th team that will actually race on the track as part of production for the film. Top Gun: Maverick co-writer Ehren Kruger will write the movie’s screenplay with CEO Penni Throw as an executive producer.
Star Cast
Damson Idris (Snowfall) and Kerry Condon (Better Call Saul) will star in the movie alongside Pitt. Kosinski and Bruckheimer confirmed that all the actors will be racing the cars themselves. The British Grand Prix Racing will start on July 9th, 2023, at Silverstone. There’s a possibility that Pitt will be driving a modified version of a junior F2 or F3 racing car designed by Mercedes. The most amazing part, besides the racing and Brad Pitt starring in the movie, is that the audience will actually get to experience the cockpit of a race car. It will be done using the smallest moveable 6k camera designed for the film.
