I Am Sparta!
Not sure what this tattoo is supposed to be, and we are not sure he knows either. It’s either a Spartan helmet, or someone liked Magneto from the X-Men comics a bit too much. Either way, this gentleman’s solid colored tattoo does not leave room for much else.
This tattoo is not well thought through. Now, not only does he have to wear this helmet forever, but he can’t even add anything to it.
Serious Fan
We all have that musician that we idolize or are so in love with that we would do just about anything to meet them. But, this may be just a little more than most of us would do.
Drake is great and all. Still, not only did she have to shave her eyebrows, but she now also has to walk around with his name on her forehead for the rest of her life. What happens if your musical taste changes? Or, if Drake’s music begins to suck?
You Got Something on Your Face!
How many of his friends, family — and heck — complete strangers have walked up and slapped him? Then politely said, you have something on your face. This tattoo just asks for this scenario to happen over and over again, and that could get annoying for this poor guy.
Spiders are a great tattoo idea, especially if that’s your nickname, but the face is not the place to do it, but what do we know?
Too Much Work
You know, mustaches have become a huge fashion trend in the last few years. But, what happens if you can’t grow one properly? Maybe this guy has the right idea. All you have to do is get one tattooed on.
This way, you don’t have to worry about upkeep and care. Still, what is he going to do when handlebars go out of style again? Betcha he didn’t think of that when he sat in that chair for hours on end.
Grandma?!
Look, it’s cool to have a grandma with a tattoo or two, but this is just crazy. Years of aging has left this face tattoo looking a little undefined. This elderly woman probably regrets getting such an elaborate face tattoo.
She probably didn’t think about the effects of age. This is why the face is one of those locations you really have to be careful tattooing — otherwise, this could happen.
So Colorful
How did the tattoo artist let this happen? Maybe he went to a new artist, but they should help steer their clients to something they will be happy with. This tattoo seems to have no rhyme or reason.
But hey, what do we know? The guy looks pretty happy with the final piece. Just wish we could understand what he was trying to say with this brightly colored collection of seemingly random lines.
There Is a Lot Going On
Once again, this is a collection of seemingly contradictory images. But, maybe that’s what he’s going for. Or perhaps, he just selected a bunch of random things he liked and had the artist slap them on his face.
This guy clearly can’t decide if he’ a hardcore tough-as-nails kind of guy, or the lovable and huggable guy next door. After all, on one side, he has the iron cross and, on the other, a cub print.
I Scream, You Scream
Look, ice cream is good. We all have our favorite flavor, and sometimes it is just the perfect pick-me-up to fix a horrible day. However, you have to really love it to get a cone sketched across your flesh for the world to see.
The story behind this tattoo might be pretty funny or sincere, but this poor guy has to rock this tattoo for the rest of his life. He’s probably really tired of telling that story.
On the Face?
So, the artwork on this piece is stunning, and if it were anywhere else on the body, most people would be pretty proud of it. But, how often does she look in the mirror and kick herself for the placement?
Perhaps an arm or leg or even the back might have been a better option. We guess she can be happy that she didn’t go for anything that could be controversial and stuck with a traditional look instead.
Really? This Is What You Chose?
Did you lose a bet with your five-year-old? This guy doesn’t look thrilled with the final piece. But even still, he is going to have to live with it. It might help him pick up the ladies, though. After all, how many love Hello Kitty?
Even with that being said, however, the piece is actually really well done. So, at least he doesn’t have to walk around with a poorly drawn anime character in the center of his head.
Star Struck
Once again, the concept is not bad, but the choice of inking these stars right on the face seems a little questionable. The young woman wanted to shoot for the stars, but maybe her face was not the right place to get her message across.
The design is nice, even though some of the stars look a little rough. Once she has had the tattoo for a while, she will inevitably realize that it may not have been the right choice.
Patriotic Misstep
It is okay to be patriotic. Loving the country you are from is good, but not sure going this far is the ideal way to do it. This tattoo is a full face homage to the USA — including the eyelid, which we would imagine kind of hurt!
Now, this guy may not regret the tattoo’s message, but at some point, we are sure he looked in his mirror and said what the… and then continued brushing his teeth.
Man or Machine
Are you a man or a machine? The tattoo is actually pretty cool! But, just like the skull on the top of his head, we are sure at some point in his future, he may wonder what he was thinking. Speaking of the skull, it doesn’t really go with the other artwork.
This looks like it might be the start of a weird hodgepodge of facial tattoos. Maybe he just needs to be happy with what he has and start tattooing other areas.
Image of You
It is not unusual for a parent to get a tattoo of their little ones on them. In fact, in some circles, it is almost a right of passage. But most of the time, this portrait is not emblazoned on the face.
It is sweet that the young man wanted to get an image of his precious little one. This, however, will not only affect his life but his kids, too. How embarrassing is it going to be for them when they get older? Something you may want to think about the next time you think about getting a portrait of your kid.
Cover Up
Okay, so what is this? Is she trying to cover up another tattoo? Or, is she making a statement about something? Or perhaps, she just wants to be abstract with her tattoos. This style of tattoo is confusing and will probably lead to a lot of regrets down the road.
In all honesty, it looks like someone has taken a Sharpie and marked her face up as she slept. The lines over lines mean more pain, and that can’t be what she was looking for.
Anime Gone Wrong
Anime is as popular as ever. The characters that inhabit these worlds are often unique looking and sometimes have very abstract tattoos. Maybe this is what this young woman was going for when she got her face tattoed.
The difference is that in the anime world, this kind of thing is accepted. In the real world, however, most people frown on facial tattoos. So, we wouldn’t be surprised if this piece ends up causing some regret later on in life.
Hold Still
Okay, where do we start? Maybe get the flyswatter because there seems to be something on his nose. Never mind the barbed wire eyebrows or the spider web cheek tattoo — why a fly? The location is just pleading with someone to take a newspaper and swat that thing away.
Not only that, but it looks like he had his name tattooed on his eyelids. Everything about these facial tattoos screams future sorrow on this man’s part.
Patchwork Patrick
There’s so much going on here that we’re not entirely sure what this guy might regret more — the patchwork tattoo or the fact he tattooed his eyeballs. The color may be something that he bemoans later, too.
Going for the ragdoll, patchwork look gives this guy an everyday Halloween look. Maybe that’s what he was going for. But, will it be what he’s into a few months’ time?
Holy…
To be honest, we can’t really make out what this tattoo even is. It kind of looks like a cross, but we can’t be too sure. This young woman may not even know, which makes this face tattoo even more regretful.
Later in life, this lady will come to realize that a face tattoo doesn’t make for a great opener during any job interview. But, we guess she’s lucky that concealer and foundation exist.
Grrrr… I’m a Tiger!
The woman wants everyone to know her soul is that of a tiger. She’s protective and ferocious, as well as majestic. But, she could have made that statement without inking her face. How she didn’t pass out or flinch when getting it done is beyond us.
She may, in the end, seriously regret getting this piece on her face. Maybe not the idea of the tattoo but definitely the placement, we’re pretty sure.
Nametag?
Remember when you were little, and your parent or authority figure would tell you they were going to tattoo something across your forehead? Well, this gentleman apparently took that warning to heart and decided he would beat someone to the punch.
The bad part is that instead of something positive, he went with something that seems like it might be a bit accurate. He can hide it, though — he just has to grow out some bangs, but he will know it’s there.
Don’t Sketch in Ink
This tattoo looks like the artist messed up and needed to scribble out their mistake. Surely that isn’t what happened, and that means that this is what the gentleman was looking for. We’re not sure why but to each their own, right? After all, he’s the one that has to live with it.
At some point, he’ll definitely kick himself for deciding this was the way to go, especially since it was on his face.
Hello, Pleasure to Meet You
Imagine that this is the guy your daughter or son brought home. How unhappy would you be? Probably as unhappy as this guy when he realizes his choices have impacted not only his career but his love life, too.
The jewelry aside, this tattoo is kind of out there and all over the place. Maybe it’s not done yet, but even if it isn’t, perhaps he should have gone with a subtler look.
Missed a Spot
Are the mustache and goatee part of the tattoo? We can’t tell because there’s just a lot going on with this guy’s face. This tattoo had to take years to get together. Even though we’re sure that, at the time, he was excited. We are also confident that he may feel different in the future.
We assume is his nickname is something like Teddy Boy, and he looks to maybe be a barber? That’s pretty cool. But, what happens when he gets older and wants to switch his clientele up?
Two Sides of the Story
So, this gentleman is very scary looking, especially since he decided it was a good idea to tattoo his eye as a finishing touch to the look. The facial tattoo looks to be a work in progress, but not all of it is cohesive. His third eye seems to be a lot less than perfect.
No matter that small concern, the look may ignite fear. And if he ever wants to be approachable at some time in the future, this will definitely hinder that.
Take Me to Your Leader
There are so many things to look at here. Not only is his face being transformed into a Martian, but it looks like he has had some cosmetic surgery, too. This guy is going all in, and that shows a lot of devotion.
But, what happens when he decides he just wants to look like plain old Joe? There’s no going back from this, and that’s when the regret will kick in.
Tying the Look Together
So, we think that if you look in the dictionary under regret, you may see this gentleman staring back at you. We are all for self-expression, but this is a lot of it all at once. Not only all the metal and gauging but the tattoos, too.
At least it looks like a cohesive design. However, that doesn’t mean that down the road, he wouldn’t think to himself, ‘If only someone had been able to talk me out of this.’
A Little Bit of This and That
This guy looks like he gave a marker to a few friends and told them to doodle away — kind of like you would with a cast. Then, he went to the tattoo artist and said, ‘Just ink over the top, and I will be happy.’
He may feel a bit of remorse later when he grows up a bit and realizes that this just makes him look shady. By the way, the thing he may regret the most — the name on his upper lip. Let’s hope they stay together!
Pride & Patriotism
Family crests and flags are always good choices for tattoos. They show that you are in touch with your heritage and have a deep connection with your homeland. But, this may be a little too much, especially since it’s on his face.
Perhaps he should have been more cautious when he laid out the concept? Even if he was, though, he might regret at least one or two pieces of this collection at some point.
A Rose by Any Other Name
Roses are beautiful and one of the most iconic images for tattoos. They are used in many designs, but this center forehead one is a unique idea for sure. She may have thought that she was being original, and she was, but…
Maybe starting off small would have been a better way to go. Less regret in the long run. And also much easier to hide if she decides later to keep this under wraps.
I See You!
This is not technically a face tattoo but rather a tattoo of a face. It’s clever and funny, but maybe this gentleman should have stopped and thought it through first.
There is no way to hide this tatt as he clearly is follicly challenged. At least he did it on the back of the head instead of on his face like the others on this list of regrettable face tattoos.
Face Hugger?
There are few movie genres that inspire more tattoos than horror. Sure; there’s also animation, but horror is a popular one, which is probably what this man was thinking when he went with a face-hugger-like image.
So, the name makes it maybe the most perfect tattoo for the face, and the piece is really well done. However — like most tattoos on the face — it does affect every aspect of your life, which often leads to regrets later on.
That’s Not Funny!
You are and always will be the class clown! This guy may have taken the name-calling to heart and decided if he was going to be called a clown, he should look like one — hence this crazy tattoo. This may just be the foundation, and if so, we’re kind of interested in seeing the final piece.
At least we hope there’s more because if not, there’s definitely a lot to be remorseful about when it comes to choosing this design.
Skin & Bones
This gentleman went all in and superimposed a skeleton on his face. Clearly wanting to make a statement and express himself, he seems to be pretty pleased with this look right now.
But, this look seems like it would elicit a lot of finger-pointing and conversations. This may not be a great thing, especially if he works in certain fields or has little children running around.
What’s Up?
Sometimes people get tattoos to make them look tougher than they are. This can be a defense mechanism and one that still allows them to express their inner persona. From the looks of it, this gentleman certainly has unleashed his inner soul.
But, when he’s looking for a career or a promotion, he may find that this tough look won’t necessarily get him to where he wants to go, hence why he is on a list of people who may regret their face tattoos.
The Beginning of the End
So, it isn’t too late to stop. This looks to be the first tattoo of a design. If he stopped here, there might not be as much remorse later on when he realizes that a face tattoo is never a good idea. It looks like it could be a tribal piece, though.
Even if he was looking to get a few tribal tattoos to show a love for his lineage, he probably should move the rest of the piece to a nice chest piece or sleeve. This won’t leave him with as much regret…
That Is Right!
You do only live once, and that is why having a permanent symbol right on your forehead may be a bad idea. Then again, when you look in the mirror, you’ll be reminded to live every day as if it was your last.
He may also regret having it inked in his own writing instead of some nice script. The sentiment is good, but we are afraid that the execution will cause him a lot of contemplation later on.
All in the Family
What a crazy family tradition — tattooing your face. We would like to see this family photo to make sure he understood what his dad was saying when he told his son to uphold the family tradition.
The good news for him is if he does regret it, he can just grow a mustache. Unfortunately, he will have to keep that mustache pretty thick to make sure no one sees it. That’s only once the tattoo heals.
Look at Me
We think that this guy looks like the genie you get when you rub a lamp, but maybe that’s not what he was going for. If he wasn’t, he missed the mark and probably should have chosen another color palette.
This guy probably thought the idea was pretty cool. Still, later on, when the color starts to fade and the lines blur together, he may have a second thought.
Nice Work
The work is stunning, and it looks like it goes with the girl’s overall fashion aesthetic. However, fashion changes and so do tastes. With that being said, getting something so permanent in such a prominent location leads to heaps of regret.
There is no removal for this tattoo, we think, and that means that if she gets tired of it, she’ll have to use a ton of makeup to cover it up.
Instantaneous Regret
Listen, don’t get us wrong — we’re all about self-expression and being one with your true, authentic self. Still, this face tattoo might not have been the best idea. For one, it looks like it was incredibly painful to even have it done.
Something else that really stands out here, though, is the fact that it seems like this woman was instantly having doubts about her decision considering that she sent a Snapchat minutes later expressing her disbelief that she got it done. If we didn’t know any better, we’d call that instantaneous regret.
Here Is My Resume
This color pallet looks like the gentleman is an old-time face tattoo. The colors look like they jumped right out of the ’70s, and so does that blazer — though we have to admit that he’s kind of rocking it all.
Even still, there are probably moments when he thinks that maybe he should have gone another way. Then he sees his headshot, and that thought probably disappears.
Red or Black
This guy looks like he may have a checkered past! That may be what this face tattoo makes others think. He doesn’t even look that happy with it, which is why we think he’ll probably regret this tattoo at some point.
Good news, though. If you are stranded on an island, you have a board game that you can play. No, really, we hope that there’s a good reason why he chose this tattoo.
Memories of a Hairline
Remember when you were growing up, and your mom would make little pencil marks on the wall to denote your height? Maybe this is what this guy was thinking when he got this tattoo. You know, keeping track of the hairlines he had in the past.
This way, he can tell his kids, ‘See, dad used to have hair!’ But, we bet that eventually, having that reminder will cause a lot of remorse, and he’ll regret this tattoo.
Scary Clownin’ Around
Clowns are one of the horror tropes that people are the most afraid of. So, maybe this guy is trying to be scarier than he actually is. We think this is just the start of a whole facial tattoo in honor of the carnival character.
But, it’s not too late to stop. If he continues on this road, he may end up with a lot of regrets later.
Read the Label
So… yeah… why? We all are probably wondering if he really thought this tattoo out before he hopped in the chair. After all, this is one of those that could very well impact your entire life.
Maybe it’s better for people to know upfront if you are a racist rather than having them guess? Still, this is not going to do the guy any good whether he’s looking for a job or he’s simply in the polite public settings we all frequent. He for sure regrets this, but we thank him for letting us know.
Tattoos are for some a way of rebellion and others an expression of their personality. One thing is for sure, though — they can’t be removed. Most are for life, and that makes the location of the tattoo very important. After all, you don’t want them to hinder your career or social life, right? Well, some people don’t seem to care about that and actually opt for facial tattoos. Some are tragic, some are funny, and some are just weird…
